Three people have been confirmed dead near the city's university of technology and is being considered t to be manslaughter. Multiple people have been killed, the total count is not yet known.
The bus driver was off duty when the incident occurred.
Emergency personnel are working with the twisted wreckage and investigation is underway. The bus carried no passengers, mounted the curb and slammed into people along the sidewalk.
Witnesses heard scraping sounds and witnesses said they believed the driver was doing it intentionally, but we do not yet know if this is so, or if he had a motive.
Stockholm police are not commenting on the number or gender of the victims and the driver has been arrested, as part of routine in these incidents.
This could be an accident or a product of terrorism, extremism or gang-related.
