Man's throat slashed on NYC subway: Hochul boasts subway is safer

An unnamed suspect is in custody for slashing a New York City subway rider in the neck for no apparent reason. The victim was taken to the hospital and the identity of the suspect is being protected because everything is backwards in the world, at least until January 20th.

Meanwhile, NY Governor Kathy Hochul (D) has been bragging about how safe she has made the transit system.

The unprovoked attack occurred around 1:25 a.m. when officers from Transit District 1 responded to the 50th Street Station in Manhattan and were looking for a male victim with a slash wound to the neck

It is not certain that the man seen arrested in the video on X is the perpetrator.

Social media lit up after the attack and mentioned how the Daniel Penny incident on the NY City subway system may have people reluctant about coming to the defense of others.
AOC I wanted Daniel Penny in jail. Here’s the effect of prosecuting people who engage in self-defense on behalf of another person, you have people who film and watch a woman getting set on fire in a New York subway, and do not intervene. pic.twitter.com/eJwHuvd2Mc

Anyway, the man was taken into custody early Monday morning after the attack aboard thee C Train as it was traveling north through Manhattan.

The victim got off the train at 50th Street and was transported to Bellevue Hospital. The alleged attacker remained on the train until reaching 59th Street/Columbus Circle Station where he was apprehended and arrested. Charges are pending and the motive, while it appears unprovoked, remains unclear. It's possible the suspect was high on meth or just did it for the fun of it, because everything is backwards in the world and who knows, haters might cheer him on for something-something.

This latest incident [as of this posting] is a small part of a wave of subway violence gripping the city.

On Christmas Eve, another man slashed two people in the Grand Central subway terminal. One victim, a 26-year-old woman stabbed in the neck, reported that police were absent during her attack and unsurprisingly, no bystanders called for help. That same week, a 56-year-old man was set on fire in New York Penn Station, and of course there was the woman who was set on fire while she slept in a subway car and died of her injuries while nobody, including a passing police officer, failed to come to her aid while Sebastian Zapeta, the illegal alien  who set her ablaze, fanned the flames with his coat.

But Hochul is more concerned fighting fossil fuels and bragging about how she has made the New York City Transit System clean and safe, although she never rides the subway herself, at least not without armed security.
