Rogers said that the shooting began as “a disturbance between two individuals,” adding "This does not appear to be a targeted attack on the flea market.”
The police have not yet determined how many shots were fired and the number of shooters and are asking the public for any information they may have.
As stated by its website, Cole’s Flea Market is the oldest and largest flea market in the Texas city. The indoor and outdoor marketplace has over 1,000 vendors and sees between 12,000 and 15,000 customers every weekend.
The investigation into the shooting is “very active,” Rogers said.
