Israeli hero gives his life to shield his fiancee from Palestinian terrorist attack

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Vyacheslav Golev, 23, an Israeli security guard was manning his booth at the entrance of Ariel. His fiancee, Victoria Fligelman, also a security guard, was there as well when two Palestinian terrorists drove up on the booth in a Suzuki with Israeli license plates.

The terrorists opened fire and immediately, Golev went into action and shielded his bride-to-be with his own body and was killed by the gunfire.

Israeli news reported that the terrorists reconnoitered the are and first drove to a high point above the entrance where they were able to observe the security situation at the entrance of Ariel, the largest Israeli city in Samaria.

Next they approached the booth and began shooting, hoping to kill the Jew manning the station.

After realizing there was a second person in the guard house, the Palestinians got out of the car and continued firing. Golev was hit at point blank range.

The scumbags then drove off, but the car was later found torched in the nearby town of Salfit.

The manhunt took almost a full day, 20 hours, and they were finally apprehended and identified as Sameeh Assi [the "i" is silent] and Yahya Marei, both in their 20s. They were found nearby in their hometown of Qarawat Bani Hassan.

During the manhunt, two other Palestinian fugitives were arrested for unrelated terror charges.

The Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade took credit for the attack because they take credit no matter what. But Hebrew media said Israeli security does not believe Assi was associated with any terror groups. Marei's family is associated with the Hamassholes.

The Ramadan Killathon, which ended on Friday, brought with it “a 200% increase in terrorist attacks in Israel between 2005 and 2016,” according to a Dutch study cited by the Jerusalem Post.

Golev will be buried in Beit Shemesh on Sunday.
