Now that the NFL plans to sing the Black National Anthem along with the Star Spangled Banner at the start of games this season, I thought that we should include other minorities as well. After all, there are many disenfranchised individuals who deserve their day in the spotlight, so I've written what I hope will catch on with the gays, lesbians, cross-dressers, and just plain guys who dress as sexualized gals and read to little children in public libraries across the land.
I hope you will sing along.
Transgender National Anthem
(Sung to the tune “America the Beautiful”)
We may dress up femme
With our bats and balls
If you catch our nuanced tone;
Do you want your fries
Supersexualized
Did you leave your kids alone?
L-G-B-T-Q is okay for you
We are everywhere today,
And we feel beguiled
As we touch your child
In the good old USA.
Transgender rights
Supercede your rights
We know that’s a crappy rhyme,
But we’re here to stay
In the USA
Pass the lipstick
I lost mine.
Enjoy the rest of your day.
