The Boss isn't quite the patriot we thought he was. If President Trump wins another four years, Springsteen says he will abandon the USA and move to Australia because he would rather have a mentally deteriorated person run the country than a guy who speaks in monosyllables and repeats himself three ways to Sunday.
Springsteen, 71, spoke with the Australian media on a virtual chat, and claimed that if the election favors Trump, he might not stick around the United States. The operant words are "might not."
He was asked directly if he'd consider moving to the land down-under and said, 'I would consider that." He went on, "I love Australia. Every time, we have nothing but good times down there. It’s always a treat to come. Love the people, love the geography, great place for motorcycle trips, it’s close to our hearts."
Motorcycle trips? What an image.
The old rocker/pundit then added, "If Trump is re-elected – which he will not be; I’m predicting right now he’s gonna lose – if by some happenstance he should be, I’ll see you on the next plane."
And if you believe that, you might expect to see a plane load of stars at the airport, all leaving the country with him, all vowing to leave the country if Trump got elected in 2016:
Lena Dunham, Amy Schumer, Snoop Dogg, Omari Hardwick, Samuel L. Jackson, Cher (who will be heading to Jupiter), Whoopi Goldberg, Miley Cyrus, George Lopez, Bryan Cranston, Neve Campbell, Ne Yo, Barbra Streisand, Chelsea Handler, Jon Stewart, Chloe Sevigny, Amber Rose, and Eddie Griffin, to name a few.
None of these Democrats followed through with their promises, but perhaps we will be lucky and Springsteen will be a man of his word.
C'mon, man. You know you want to follow Brain Flushings--it's free and worth every penny. And remember, every time you click on an ad, an angel gets its wings and a liberal sheds a tear.
