The Chicago Police Department told Fox News of an intel report sent out on August 26 by the FBI warning Chicago area law enforcement that street gangs allegedly made a pact "to shoot on-sight any cop that has a weapon drawn on any subject in public."
A Chicago PD spokesperson told the media outlet on Tuesday: “We have been made aware of this threat by a law enforcement partner, The Chicago Police Department takes all threats against officer safety seriously and we will take all necessary measures to safeguard our officers.”
Thirty-six gangs were mentioned in the alert, including the Latin Kings [which is composed of Hispanics, as opposed to white-Hispanic cops] and the Vice Lords. The alert says that "members of these gang factions have been actively searching for, and filming, police officers in performance of their official duties," ABC7 reported.
Referring to the filming, the alert states: “The purpose of which is to catch on film an officer drawing his/her weapon on any subject and the subsequent 'shoot on-site' of said officer, in order to garner national media attention.”
But ABC7 said that the information they have received is coming from "a contact whose reporting is limited and whose reliability cannot be determined."

The office of Chicago's useless Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot, when contacted by Fox News, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Over the weekend, two Chicago cops were shot while conducting a traffic stop. It is unknown if that shooting is connected to the FBI's warning. One of the officers underwent surgery for lung and abdominal injuries and is in serious condition. The other officer was shot in the shoulder and has been released from medical treatment.
On a happier note, the suspect has been taken into custody and so far has not been released back out onto the streets.

It's time for decent citizens, with the help of law enforcement and, if necessary federal personnel, to take back the streets from the anarchists, and to capture and prosecute them all.
Trump has waited long enough for the Democratic governors and mayors to do something and they simply refuse while blaming him for the violence, with brain-dead Joe Biden leading the charge while refusing to name Antifa, Black Lives Matter rioters and blames the cops instead.
Trump needs to act now.
