In an interview with the leftist butt-kissers known as Politico , Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) bragged that national Republicans are destined for the "waste bin of history," and he wasn't referring to his state of California because dust is less disturbing than human feces on the streets and the scent of homeless unwashed in the air. The guy couldn't even clean up his own town of San Francisco where he was mayor, and because he knows the leftist media will protect him, he can make these ridiculous statements.
Politico made the ridiculous claim that Newsom ebulliently stated that his achievements in the first six months of his tenure as governor have been “magnificent.”
But Ben Shapiro pointed out in May of 2018 in the Sacramento Bee how as mayor of San Francisco from 2003 to 2010, that Newsome made national headlines allowing for same-sex marriages which was contrary to state law and "jabbered about impeding federal authorities from imposing immigration law."
So by towing the hard-left line, he endeared himself to the radicals who are scoffing at the laws already in place and advocating for open borders.
Shapiro also pointed out that in 2007, Newsome had a tryst with his married appointment's secretary and then basically handed her a $10,000 payment from public coffers.
In 2004, he failed to make good his promise to end San Francisco's homeless crisis and the city has spent billions trying to fix it to no avail. From 2005 to 2018, there has been a 3 percent increase in the homeless crisis and things are getting observably worse.
During Newsome's first term as mayor, the city saw a murder rate than any other time in a decade.
As for leftists, this would make him an ideal candidate for a 2024 presidential run, And it looks like he's thinking about the possibility.
In May, Newsome declared that California's homeless problem was a "national disgrace" but like O.J. Simpson, he looked everywhere but in a mirror.
