Avenatti arrested on domestic violence: 'She hit me first'

After "pulling an Acosta" by thanking the people who arrested him [like Acosta did to the Secret Service who lifted his "hard pass"] Michael Avenatti went on to deny the allegation that he committed domestic violence on Tuesday night.

But according to a TMZ report which has since been updated, Avenatti alleged that "she hit me first."

Perhaps that can be his 2020 campaign platform. The world waits with baited breath for President Trump's tweeting in response to the incident.

Stormy Daniels, [aka: Stephanie Clifford] didn't exactly throw Avenatti under the proverbial bus, but she was careful with her words. Stormy, as you may recall, is a pornography performer and alleged that she had a single sexual encounter with President Trump over a decade ago, which he denies. Avenatti represented her, which credited him with being "the porn lawyer."

"These are serious and obviously very troubling allegations, but right now that is all they are: allegations," she told Olivia Nuzzi of New York Magazine, unlike Avenatti's statements about Justice Kavanaugh when he was wrongfully accused of sexual misconduct. No 'believe the woman' in that case.

'The Stormster' blathered on: "We should all reserve judgment until the investigation--an investigation Michael has said he welcomes [like genital warts]--is complete, and that's what I'm going to do. But of course I do not condone violence against women and if these allegations prove true I will be seeking new representation."

Her statement came after Avenatti spoke in front of cameras declaring that he has "never struck a woman" and will not be "intimidated" from marching on in his brave battle as "an advocate for women's rights."

Yes, Michael Avenatti is the victim here.

TMZ reported the arrest of Avenatti on Wednesday on suspected felony domestic violence charges, which was later confirmed by the LAPD. "We can confirm that Michael Avenatti (DOB: 02-16-71) was booked this afternoon on a felony domestic violence charge (273.5 PC)," the LAPD tweeted Wednesday. "His bail is set at $50,000."

According to TMZ's sources, Avenatti's accuser's face was "swollen and bruised," with "red marks" on both of her cheeks. They reported that the alleged incident occurred Tuesday night and another confrontation Wednesday between the couple at an exclusive apartment building in the Century City area of L.A.

"We're told Wednesday afternoon the woman was on the sidewalk on her cellphone with sunglasses covering her eyes, sobbing and screaming on the phone, 'I can't believe you did this to me. I'm going to get a restraining order against you," she said, according to TMZ.

Avenatti was reported to have arrived at the building later, but was impeded by security guards from entering the elevator. "She hit me first!" TMZ's sources said he yelled. "This is bullsh**, this is f**king bullsh**!"

TMZ updated their story noting that "the LAPD has already obtained an emergency protective order, prohibiting Avenatti from going near the alleged victim."

CNN didn't immediately report the incident but waited an entire day. Too bad--with their relationship with Avenatti, they could have had a scoop.

Lastly, I need to be clear that even a scum merchant like Avenatti deserves due process of law.
