Democrats want the commander in chief powerless

Senator Chris Murphy introduced a bill designed to block the commander in chief from acting as commander in chief. Specifically, the bill is designed to prevent President Trump from launching a first strike on North Korea, except in situations of imminent threat or authorization from Congress.

The co-sponsors of the bill include Socialist Senators Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren and Cory Booker, as well as Brian Schatz, Tammy Duckworth, Jeff Merkley and Tom Udall.

Funny, but when Barack Obama ordered a pre-emptive military action against Libya, the left was perfectly fine with his actions.

It was March 28, 2011 when Obama addressed the American public about Libya on national TV. In one passage about why he unilaterally did this he said:
"Confronted by this brutal repression and a looming humanitarian crisis, I ordered warships into the Mediterranean. European allies declared their willingness to commit resources to stop the killing. The Libyan opposition, and the Arab League, appealed to the world to save lives in Libya. At my direction, America led an effort with our allies at the United Nations Security Council to pass an historic Resolution that authorized a No Fly Zone to stop the regime's attacks from the air, and further authorized all necessary measures to protect the Libyan people."
But Obama was no Donald Trump, and the left was okay that he took the initiative to save the world from the Libyan dictator Kim Jong Un Saddam Hussein.

Now the Democrats are worried that while North Korea gets relentlessly closer to developing a delivery system of a nuclear warhead (because Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and George W. Bush were gullible fools to believe Kim Jong Il) that Trump will preemptively stop Kim Jong Un from preemptively striking the U.S. mainland or Guam.

The Democratic mindset is that a first strike by us is considered to be an 'unprovoked war.'

The truth is a little different.

Kim has been provoking us, South Korea and Japan ever since his symbolically flipped us off and then had a testosterone-fest with President Trump.

When North Korea fired a missile over Japan, how were they to know the target and the capability of the missile? Were they supposed to wait and see what would happen?

Taking away the President's ability to be commander in chief of the military is a mistake. That's why it should be called "Murphy's Law" if it passes.
