Champs-Elysees vehicle attack: police van destroyed

An attacker drove his car into a police vehicle on Champs-Elysees in Paris Monday afternoon. This prompted a security operation, Paris police said.

The police asked people to avoid the area as the investigation is currently ongoing.

The police vehicle was a van, which caught on fire upon impact. The driver was detained and put in police custody.

Fortunately, there were no injures reported.
