Not so ironically, Anthony Weiner is leading the race for New York City Mayor but let's face it, as long as he's a Democrat it doesn't matter how disgusting his behavior was before all this. So he showed little weiner on Twitter, big deal (or little deal, I don't know which). We can always forgive New York Democrats no matter what. Even Weiner's Muslim Brotherhood connected wife seems to forgive him, not unlike her boss, Hillary Clinton forgave Bill for his ongoing "indisgressions."
Eliot Spitzer was referred to as "Client 9" in a US Federal Court affidavit. On February 13, 2008, Spitzer arranged a meeting with "Kristen" at Washington's Mayflower Hotel. Kristen was a prostitute whose real name is Ashley Dupre, and was 22 at the time Spitzer, in his black midcalf socks, had sex with her. (Oh, the image is frightening.) He also arranged for a tryst in New York City which Spitzer said he would pay for in full.
In all, Spitzer spend about $80 thousand in sexual services over a period of several years from when he was NYS Attorney General, and then as NYS Governor. Knowing the banking system as he does, he moved money in small increments to avoid detection, but lo, he was nailed, not unlike the women he nailed.
Here's the real irony: Kristen M. Davis, the competing madam involved in the scandal, and who spent hard time on Rikers Island Prison for her crime, is running against Spitzer in the New York City Comptroller race. You cannot make this stuff up. But in New York City (where I was born and raised) if Hitler was running as a Democrat, he might not get the Jewish vote, but it would be a close race and he might win.
It's all about mindless party loyalty, man.
My latest novel, Jihad
Joe, is about Islamic
terrorism and suspense. In it I challenge the precepts of the religion
through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who
is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three
Gitmo prisoners. Of course, American policy demands we never give in to
terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
