Palestinian stabs Israeli in the back, gets shot

 JERUSALEM -- An Israeli man was walking along, minding his business when a Palestinian young man came up behind him and stabbed him in the back for the crime of being Jewish. This latest attack, considered a terrorist attack, happened last Saturday and comes amid an increase of violence against Israelis. 

The Israeli who is in serious condition was taken to Shaare Tzedek Medical hospital in Jerusalem.

The Palestinian attacker ran from the scene and was pursued by a police officer. The Palestinian, 16, was from Anata in eastern Jerusalem. 

He ran to a soccer field where dozens of kids were playing. The officer commanded him to stop, but the attacker turned menacingly toward him with a knife in his hand and the officer shot him. He was evacuated to hospital in critical condition.

Israeli police later detained the stabber’s father and brother in Anata and were targeted with stones and other objects near the Shuafat refugee camp; three officers were wounded in the incident.

Also on Saturday, a Palestinian jihadi was shot and neutralized after ramming his vehicle into a group of soldiers with his car. None of the soldiers were hurt but the Palestinian is with his virgins.
