Serial scumbag and former U.S. intelligence contractor Edward Snowden is now a Russian citizen by order of Russian President [for life] the execrable Vladimir Putin.
Putin signed the order granting the traitor Russian citizenship on Monday. Snowden has been living in Moscow since 2013, evading U.S. authorities after exposing top secret military information to the world. He had received permanent residency to remain in Russia in October 2020.
Snowden was a contractor for the National Security Agency in 2013 when he left the NSA's Hawaii facility and went to Hong Kong at which time the POS released thousands upon thousands of U.S. documents revealing surveillance programs in the U.S. and abroad along with security operations.
Some on the Left praised his actions because they hate the United States, while others called him a traitor as the U.S. sought his extradition to prosecute him on charges of violating the Espionage Act.
Before moving into the private sector, this high school drop out was a systems administrator for the CIA.
He contracted with Dell and later with Booz Allen Hamilton. It was at Dell that he did contract work for the NSA, where he worked at a facility in Japan then moved to Hawaii. In early 2013, Snowden left Dell and went to work for Booz Allen, staying at the same Hawaii-based NSA facility.
It was in 2013 when Snowden downloaded thousands of classified documents on U.S. and foreign intelligence operations and probably endangered the lives of the once-covert agents. He shared these documents with journalists who exposed the classified contents, irreparably impairing field operations.
“Snowden caused tremendous damage to national security, and the vast majority of documents he stole have nothing to do with programs impacting individual privacy interests – they instead pertain to military, defense, and intelligence programs of great interest to America’s adversaries,” it continued.
The POS moved to Russia to receive asylum protections from U.S. authorities. While there, he openly criticized the U.S.'s treatment of journalists, but never spoke out about Russia's treatment of journalists, some of whom no longer live above ground and those who do are limited in their reporting.

After receiving permanent residency in Russia in 2020, comrade Snowden applied for Russian citizenship so he could hold the same citizenship as his son, who at the time was not yet born.
Now the question remains: with Russia engaged in open conflict with Ukraine, will Snowden volunteer to fight for his adopted country and carry the hammer and sickle in battle?
