Gov. Newsom bans all Hollywood movies that promote gun violence

In a powerful move to end gun violence, California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has signed an executive order banning movies featuring the use of violent guns in all past and future Hollywood productions. The intention of the ban is to end the influence guns has on the youth of America when they see, for example, movies showing cis gender male soldiers and police using violent guns against other violent guns.

The effect this ban is projected to have on the movie industry is paramount [no pun intended]  to creating a safer world, Newsom believes. "Without guns, there cannot be gun violence," he said. "And without movies with guns, no child will grow up to believe guns are cool."

The movies not being banned are: "It's A Wonderful Life," "Lassie," "Beach Blanket Bingo," and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off." All the remaining movies are being reviewed for the existence of violent guns, and all future movies with Alex Baldwin will no longer be shot [oops] in Hollywood.

Gov. Newsom at a press conference Friday explained the dangers of violent guns and displayed the highly feared and dangerous AR-15, which he pointed at the cameraman, but his finger was not on the trigger, he said.

"This has got to stop," he said.

When asked by a reporter when the ban will go into effect Newsom replied, "We are totally ready to pull the trigger now and implement my order."
