Former comedian Stephen Colbert may be in trouble, but he has the invisible shield known as the Democratic Party to protect him, so nothing may come out of the fact that his crew was snooping around some of the GOP offices in the U.S. House of Representatives building.
A senior source in the House revealed the names of Colbert's crew: Jake Plunkett, Allison Martinez, Tyrone Dean, Stephen Romond, Nicoletta Green, Brendan Hurley, Robert Smigel, Josh Comers, and David Feldman. They were charged with illegal entry to House office buildings after hours.
Fox News host Jesse Watters said in a segment of his Fox News show, "Jesse Watters Primetime," that Reps. Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) let Colbert’s staff in the building.
“On June 16, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) received a call for a disturbance in the Longworth House Office Building,” USCP said in a statement. “Responding officers observed seven individuals, unescorted and without Congressional ID, in a sixth-floor hallway.”
“The building was closed to visitors, and these individuals were determined to be a part of a group that had been directed by the USCP to leave the building earlier in the day,” the statement continued. “They were charged with Unlawful Entry. This is an active criminal investigation, and may result in additional criminal charges after consultation with the U.S. Attorney.”

It's going to be interesting to see if these nine clowns will end up languishing in prison for a year like the clowns who entered the building on Jan. 6. Maybe we can call this the 6/16 insurrection. The difference between the incidents are scant, just like the outcome is likely to be.
