Elizabeth Warren calls them "fire sticks" |
A Quinnipiac University national poll of U.S. adults conducted from March 4 to March 6, asked subjects if faced with a situation in which the country was invaded by an enemy, whether they would stay and fight [using their Second Amendment rights to own a gun for one such purpose] or to flee. The results were predictable.
Fully 68% Republicans said they would stay and fight, while a mere 40% of Democrats would do the same. Regarding independents, 57% said they would stay and fight.
In regard to whether those who would not fight, only 25% Republicans say they would leave the U.S. and 36% of independents would also flee the country. However, 52% of Democrats said they would leave the U.S. possibly because they aren't very fond of the U.S. in the first place.
The overall number of people in the poll saying they would fight totaled 55% while 38% they would leave the country.
Another area covered in the poll was about Russian oil. A large majority (71%) said they would back. ban on Russian oil even if it would raise gas prices significantly.
Over half (60%) in the poll believe that Russian President Vladimir Putin is mentally unbalanced, while only 21% thought that the Russian figure is mentally stable.
