According to a Sunday report, Smartmatic licensed voting technology from the Dominion.
Smartmatic previously owned Sequoia Voting Systems, but divested from its U.S. holdings following a 2007 court ruling with Dominion purchasing the company in 2010.
Although Smartmatic denies any ongoing ties with Dominion, a resurfaced 2015 interview with chairman Mark M. Brown shows this was a lie as Smartmatic continued to license Dominion technology. Brown has sat on the boards of several Soros’ organizations.
Another lie put forth by the left says that the technology cannot be tampered with--if that doesn't get you laughing, you have no sense of humor.
“The fact is, yes, a part of our technology is licensed from Dominion, but you tell me a large technology company which isn’t using in part licenses from other companies,”stated the chairman. “And we have a license for the international use of that particular piece of the technology that we employ.”
It’s unclear whether Smartmatic currently maintains any financial interests in Sequoia’s U.S. holdings.
Whether any of the efforts to prove either or both companies interfered in the 2020 presidential election seems to be almost irrelevant. The key word to remember, however, is "almost."
We shall wait and see but don't get your hopes too high.
