The Democrats blame Trump for not federally mandating face masks to combat coronavirus. The Democrats blame Trump for the coronavirus and call it the "Trump Virus." Democrats blame Trump for sending in federal troops to quell the rioting, violence and looting in cities run by impotent Democrats. The Democrats blame the violence in cities run by impotent Democrats on Trump.
Are you seeing a theme here?
The Democrats want Trump to use the feds to mandate face masks, but they don't want him to use the feds to stop the violence in their cities. He is blamed for everything and he gets no help at all from the media.
Now there's Chicago and their incompetent Mayor Lori Lightfoot, where on Tuesday, 14 people were shot and sent to five area hospitals. Lightfoot, who is also light in the head, pushed back against the President after he mentioned a federal clampdown on the city where violence is worse than the violence in Afghanistan. She said that she would not permit Trump to "terrorize" the already terrorized city's residents by sending in federal troops to provide a semblance of law and order.
"Over their dead bodies," she implied, referring to the adults and babies being killed by thugs.
In fact, her Twitter message to Trump came about the same moment when at least 14 people were reportedly shot outside a funeral home on the city's South Side -- with a number of other shootings occurring elsewhere in the city as well.
“Under no circumstances will I allow Donald Trump’s troops to come to Chicago and terrorize our residents,” Lightfoot ironically tweeted. If anyone was going to terrorize her city, they had better be residents of her city.
"We do not welcome dictatorship," the incompetent mayor added in a newspaper interview.
After news spread about the funeral home shootings, Lightfoot made an empty vow that those responsible would be held accountable.
"Too many guns are on our streets and in the hands of people who should never possess them," Lightfoot wrote, referring to the strict gun laws that only law abiding citizens abide by. "These individuals will be held accountable. I ask that anyone with information on this incident please come forward or submit a tip anonymously at cpdtip.com."
Meanwhile, the left supports defunding the police while most people in the black community support them.
On Monday, President Trump vowed to send federal forces into Chicago.
That same day, Lightfoot told the leftist opinion network, MSNBC, that she would not allow “tyranny” in Chicago – a reference to controversial tactics used by federal agents sent into Portland, Oregon to quell rioting. But then she admitted Tuesday the city would be working “collaboratively” with federal agencies, including the FBI, Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to bring down violent crime, the Tribune reported. She just doesn't want Trump to get any credit for Trump's decision.
“All those agencies are here. They've been here for decades. They have ongoing cases that they're investigating,” Lightfoot said, according to FOX 32 in Chicago.
Cities frequently work with federal agencies on cases involving drugs and violent crime.
After realizing that she couldn't back up her words about refusing federal assistance, Lightfoot said Tuesday the city welcomes actual “partnership” with the federal government.
“But we do not welcome dictatorship, we do not welcome authoritarianism and we do not welcome unconstitutional arrest and detainment of our residents,” she told the Tribune.

While she speaks of a dictatorship and authoritarianism, there is no evidence whatsoever that this would be the case if federal troops were sent in.
Lightfoot said the city would go to court if the federal government deployed “unnamed federal special secret agents onto our streets to detain people without cause and effectively take away their civil rights and their civil liberties without due process,” referring again to Portland and the fantasy that these troops were some kind of secret agents. They wear uniforms that are clearly marked front and back with "POLICE" and have agency tags along with their individual badge numbers to identify each agent.
Last Thursday, Lightfoot called White House press secretar, Kaylie McEnany, a “Karen” on Twitter after McEnany pointed out that Lightfoot is a “derelict mayor" amid Chicago's escalating violence and her inability to handle it.
Hey Karen, watch your mouth,” Lightfoot tweeted in reference to McEnany.
“Karen” is a pejorative, racist word usually referring to a middle-aged white woman deemed "entitled" due to their skin color. When you have to use a personal attack, [aka ad hominem] you've lost the discussion.

On Friday, Chicago experienced more unrest as police and anarchists clashed near the Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park. Nearly 20 police officers were injured as rioters hurled objects at them.
More than 2,000 people have been shooting victims this year in Chicago. Just this past weekend, 63 people were shot and 12 were killed. This is not President Trump's fault. This is not the fault of the NRA. This is in spite of the hefty gun restrictions in Chicago.
Everything the left touches, it eventually destroys.
