The socialist congresswoman spoke at a hearing at a House Financial Services Committee on Tuesday where she had the audacity to attack the GOP for her situation and that of people with student debt.

No, when you take out a loan for your personal benefit, it's your job to pay it back. It isn't mine or anyone else's job to forgive your debts. Nobody owes you anything.

I have an idea: have those who took out the loan pay it back.
“I literally made a student loan payment while I was sitting here at this chair, and I looked at my balance, and it was $20,237.16,” she whined. “I just made a payment that took me down to $19,000 so I feel really accomplished right now.”

AOC is one of 70 members of Congress who are still paying off student debt for themselves or a dependent, according to the Post.
In August, President Trump signed an executive order to cancel student loan debts for permanently disabled veterans, which is clearly a different circumstance than that of a rich kid from Yorktown Heights [her family moved from the Bronx when she was five]. Her generous salary comes from taxpayer money but she wants more of the same to pay off her debts.
