National terrorism expert, Nancy Pelosi, believes that when it comes to national security, she is a "lioness," and will claw the hell out of anyone who tries to harm one of her own cubs. The only exception she has is with Syrians whose backgrounds we cannot possibly check, and anyone else Obama allows into our great country.
Pelosi (her friends call her "Bo" as in Botox) has vehemently opposed a House bill, 289-137, meant to increase screening criteria of potential Syrian refugees, some of whom are likely to be terrorists as we have no data on these refugees and ISIS has promised to infiltrate the USA.
If you have a bag of 100 M&Ms, and 2 of them are poisoned, would you eat from the bag? A friend of mine suggested that example and I stole it from him--you can find his blog on my page--it's Quincy Quarry and it's about Quincy, Mass. I recommend it.
The bill mentioned above is the American Security Against Foreign Enemies (SAFE) Act of 2015, and states that no Iraqi or Syrian refugee will be admitted in the US unless the FBI director "certifies the background investigation of each refugee" and the secretary of Homeland Security, the FBI director and the Director of National Intelligence "certifies to Congress that each refugee is not a security threat to the United States."
The DHS inspector general would be required to independently assess any approvals given to refugees.
What else does our government need to do other than insure our safety and take care of our infrastructure?
Two Republicans, who need to be voted out of office said "no." They are Reps. Walter Jones (N.C.) and Steve King (Iowa). Their objection was about the no amendments closed rule, but that still doesn't make them GOP material in my way of thinking.
Bo Pelosi was upset her left wingers didn't get to vote on a "better idea" amendment. The idea that Democrats could have a "better idea" about anything is like saying the Islamic State isn't Islamic and Islam is a religion of peace. " . . . we have a responsibility to keep the American people safe. It's the oath of office we take. Count me as a lioness. Anybody comes near my cubs, you're dead," the tough lady from California warned organizations like ISIS and Al Qaeda.
Then she said, "We gotta let 'em all in to see if they're terrorists or not."
Okay, she didn't say it, but she's still the poster grandma for Bad Judgment.
