Louisiana--Travis Boys, 33, escaped from police custody as he was able to slip his handcuffs, grab a gun, and fatally shoot 46-year-old Officer Daryle Holloway in the head. The shooting occurred inside the police vehicle.
The vehicle crashed into a utility pole and Boys fled. He had been arrested on an aggravated assault charge for which I am betting he is guilty.
Superintendent Michael Harrison assured the media that "He will pay for what he did."
Harrison said that the suspect was able to slip out of the handcuffs and grab a firearm. He shot Holloway as he was driving and after the vehicle crashed, Boys climbed through the cage opening to the front seat in order to escape.
Al Sharpton has not been available for comment. Nor has President Obama, nor Jessie Jackson.
MSNBC did not break this story.
But Sharpton, Jackson, Obama and MSNBC don't matter all that much. Blue lives matter.
