No, the Queen of Comedy was not Lucille Ball, although Lucy was a pisser. For me, the real joke teller, the real expert of comedy is Hillary Rodham Clinton. Nobody tells a joke better than the former Worst First Lady and does it in a hilarious monotone that makes you laugh until you vomit.
It takes courage to say things that border on arrogance and a sense of massive entitlement. Even more courageous is the feigned animosity she has for the GOP, when, in fact, she knows that you know that she condoned congressional involvement when her folks were the folks involved when the other folks were running things, just like the GOPers.
But the most courageous thing and a real knee-slapper is when she acts as if the entire country is stupid. I call that "pulling a Gruber."
Hillary is also keenly aware of the humor that irony can sire. She oozes irony.
How cool she was, head down, eyes glued to her notes, avoiding making eye contact with what passes today as the press.
The first so-called" journalist" was Turkish. The question was in two parts, asking if this email situation was going to hurt her chances of being the first female POTUS; the second part begging the sexism question as to whether this would have played out this way if she wasn't a woman. Hillary just smiled, adjusted her jockstrap, and made a face that seemed to convey the message: "Of course it would've played out differently if I were a man, you putz. So let's show them, if and when I run that a woman can do anything a man can do, and do it better--a lot better than this half-a-man who currently rules the nation."
She didn't have to actually say it; that expression said it all.
Isn't it a scream to have Hillary pretend that we can trust her? One email address so she'd only needed one device. Convenience. Hahahaha. Two weeks before the presser she said she had four devices.
Which Hillary are we to believe? The one who lied a few weeks ago, or the one who's lying now?
Regarding the Clintons, now we know which one is the dumb one.
