In the latest Senate Democrat strategy meeting in Baltimore, one issue that was brought up was Iran and the sanctions to be voted on in the Kirk-Menendez bill.
According to one senator and another person who attended the meeting, Obama pleaded with his fellow Democrats "why won't you leave Iran alone?". He said that such a move by his party would undermine his absolute authority to rule with an iron fist and it might even derail the talks with the terrorist nation of Iran (a nation that would sooner blow up the world and get their 72 virgins than give up their nuclear ambitions). He also worried that reinstating sanctions might make the rest of the world think America were the bad guys, not the terrorists, and if that wasn't enough to worry about, what is?
Obama claimed to understand the pressures the senators faced from Jewish donors, but like the word "Islam," did not actually say the word "Jewish." Bob Menendez, a Democrat, stood up and said that he took "personal offense" to Obama's offensive stance, which makes perfect sense, be you Democrat or intelligent.
The Republican Jewish Coalition (RJC) immediately asserted that the Jewishness of "donors and others" was clearly asserted in Obama's not-so cryptic remarks. Part of this has to do with the money Menendez has received from pro-Israel contributors, versus the Muslim Brotherhood friends Obama has received at the White House.
What Obama did not discuss with his party senators was the oodles of money his party has received from co-socialist George Soros. Sure, Soros is an avowed atheist and kicks dogs and stray cats, but he was born Jewish and probably even made a Bar Mitzvah and went to Hebrew School. The important criteria with Soros isn't his atheism, but whether or not Islamic jihadists would delight in removing his head from the recesses of his Ermenegildo Zegna Bespoke suit.
