ISIS is getting closer to Baghdad--close enough to fire artillery into the city and we can now say that the siege has begun as they are taking on one of the largest military bases in Iraq.
For the first time this year, orthodox Muslims aspiring to jihad are now a major presence in Abu Ghraib on the outskirts of the capital and the last Anbar town along the way.
One Iraqi soldier who remained anonymous said that ISIS, who he referred to as "Daash," controls the streets.
Several hundred miles to the west ISIS pushes on into Kobane, a Syrian Kurdish city. Kurdish officials said that Turkey has not yet responded to their pleas for help against the ISIS terrorists who fervently believe in Islam in the literal sense of the writings of the Koran.
Officials have reported that ISIS has captured a large cache of weapons from the marathon runners in the Iraqi army, citing 155 mm/Howitzers as one such weapon. These artillery guns can reach Baghdad Airport and would make travel a nightmare for Iraqi soldiers with airline tickets to elsewhere.
President Barack Hussein Obama said in a Tele PrompTer reading that the Islamic State is not Muslim and not a state. He obviously forgot his Indonesian Koranic training in the Madrassa. ISIS calls on Allah for strength and uses Islamic methods to kill disbelievers.
It's a good thing Al Jazeera Gore doesn't use similar methods to kill the disbelievers of global warming.
