Obama refuses to call the Egyptian action a coup, in part because the word is French and he'll be damned if he's going to bow to them (he saves his bowing for King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia) and also because he wants the latitude to send money to the Egyptian Army in order to keep them happy in spite of the fact that the doors to the "People's House (that's the White House for those of you who are clueless) are currently closed due to sequestration. Obama has just returned from a $100M vacation in South Africa, where he visited his birthplace and mosque.
My latest novel, Jihad
Joe, is about Islamic
terrorism and suspense. In it I challenge the precepts of the religion
through my protagonist, Zed Nill, a journalist, captured by terrorists and who
is destined to be killed if the American President refuses to release three
Gitmo prisoners. Of course, American policy demands we never give in to
terrorists, and for Zed, the clock is ticking.
