Jack Lew, White House Chief of Staff Czar, defended ObamaCare on Fox News today as Chris Wallace questioned him. Wallace played sound bites of Obama saying in 2008 and 2009 that he will not raise taxes, and played a voice clip of an Obama attorney pleading the case of ObamaCare to the Supreme Court, stating to the court that they must look at ObamaCare as a tax and not a mandate. Now that the court did so, Lew denies that Obama has raised taxes on the middle class--the law simply penalizes those who refuse to jump on the socialist bandwagon. Jack Lew is a liar, much like his boss. November will be here before you can say, "What, another tax?" and Obama will be back out on the streets as a commie disorganizer--I mean community organizer.
Mitch McConnell may look like a turtle, but he's a bright guy. He clearly spelled out how ObamaCare is a tax and it's also a job-killer, costing us about a million jobs. I too believe that ObamaCare will be a referendum on Obama and I believe the public will dump it along with its creator. McConnell feels we need more modest reforms for the American health care system and slowly change it. Lawsuit reform will be an important issue. On the negative side, McConnell did not seem to have an answer to Wallace's question as to what he would do to handle the health care problems in the country to protect people with pre-existing conditions, but he believes it needs to be handled at the state level. Perhaps he's right.
