Harris tells African church conference "we are not going back"

Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, expressed her gratitude to the leaders of the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church for their support this week. She assured them of her commitment to advancing the country on their behalf. However, it appears that the church's leaders do not share the same enthusiasm when it comes to the topic of gay marriage.

AME church leaders at the 52nd quadrennial conference voted to strike down a bill that would have ended the AME church's ban on same-sex marriage. This may have to do with the Bible and some of its versus:
1. Leviticus 18:22 (Old Testament)**: "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."

2. Romans 1:26-27 (New Testament)**: "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."

3. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (New Testament)**: "Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God."
In an address to conference attendees, Harris blasted Republicans for trying 'to pull the country backward.'

"We face a choice between two very different visions for the future of our nation. One, ours, that is focused on the future. The other focused on the past," Harris managed to say through her nostrils. "But we are not going back."

Gay marriage was legalized by the federal government in 2015 and the Republicans, contrary to what Harris claims, has no intention of repealing it.

The AME Church is mostly made up of Black members and is based in the United States. It started due to racial tensions between Black and White members in the Methodist church during the late 1700s and early 1800s. Today, according to the research group Pew Research Center, 92% of the church members identify as Democrats.

AME church leaders had made the mistake of helping Joseph Biden get elected as President, and now we see how wrong they were as he had insidiously entered into a vegetative state and now sleeps on a beach in Delaware.

Although the church boasts a vast network of Democratic congregants, its position on same-sex marriage remains out of step with the official anti-Christian values of the Democratic Party.

Perhaps members of the AME church will wake up to the facts and the Marxist values Harris supports.
