The Compromised News Network's (CNN) chief congressional biased correspondent Manu Raju recently said on a broadcast that “There's only been five members in United States history who have been expelled from the House [of Representatives]," adding that it would take “a two-thirds majority in the House” to give Santos directions to the exit. Raju is referring to Rep. George Santos (R-NY).
Santos has been outed as a congenital liar and conman and the subject of much controversy. He has a long track record of lying, even before he got elected to Congress, where lying only happens on days that end in "y."
Later this week, the lower chamber is expected to vote on whether to expel Santos or allow him to remain in office. Although he wouldn't be the first, as mentioned, he'd be the first to get the boot without having committed a crime. Based on the committee's decision about his conduct, there are a few recommendations they can make, including censure, reprimand or expulsion.

Here's the skinny on Santos:
Last week, Rep. Anthony D’Esposito (R-NY) introduced the resolution that would remove the lying Santos from Congress. The offenses he listed were longer than George Floyd's rap sheet, and included details about Santos' background including his education and prior employment, both of which he lied about.
Esposito also listed the federal indictment on 23 criminal counts. Yes, 23, including wire fraud, money laundering and lying on federal disclosure forms [like Hunter Biden did when he got his gun permit]. He was also accused of stealing $44,000 from donors by charging their credit cards without their authorization. This could amount to serious jail time if he's found guilty [and the evidence points to that probability, but of course he's innocent until that time].
Rep. Nick LaLota (R-NY), while speaking with reporters on Capitol Hill, said he believes that “people have seen over the last ten months what a fraud [Santos] is.”
Rep. Marcus Molinaro (R-NY) also added, “This is a clear case of an individual who used every lie and misdeed in order to attain the very office he holds.”
Gee, ya think?
So if the House votes to ditch him, it isn't going to make much change on Capitol Hill, if indeed that's really the name of that place. Santos and the rest of our lawmakers are peas in a pod, but Santos wasn't smart enough to get away with what some of them get away with.
Republicans currently hold 221 seats in the lower chamber and Democrats hold 212. If the liar is ejected, New York will hold a special election to fill his seat, and they could very possibly elect a Democrat.
