Bibi meets with Blinken in Israel: they had this to say

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Tel Aviv today at around 2:10 p.m. local time to discuss the war declared by Israel against the terrorist group Hamas after they attacked and slaughtered Israeli citizens on Saturday, October 7th.

Netanyahu thanked the U.S. both in English and Hebrew for the support being given to them and for President Biden's stated commitment to "have Israel's back" in the fight against this evil force.

"Hamas has shown itself to be an enemy of civilization," Bibi said, as he detailed the horrors they committed against fathers, mothers, children and babies. He likened Hamas to ISIS and said they needed to be "spit out from among the community of nations."  And in fact, an ISIS flag was found among the materials recovered from Israeli military operations.

He went on to say "We will win," adding that Israel and the U.S. has the "moral clarity."

Antony Blinken spoke and said that he is Jewish and his grandfather fled pograms in Russia and family members had been placed in concentration camps in the Second World War. He explained that he understands what happened in Israel on a personal level.

He spoke of the heroism of the Israelis, like the grandfather who drove over an hour to a kibbutz under Hamas siege. All he had was a handgun but was able to rescue his kids and grandkids. He told of the mother who died shielding her teenage son with her own body, thus giving him life for a second time.

Blinken spoke of the solidarity of the Israeli people: how they stand in line for hours to give blood, and the reservists who mobilized to serve Israel and those Israeli soldiers in other countries who returned to Israel to fight.

The Secretary of State pledged that the U.S. will be at Israel's side in the fight and will continue to supply munitions and Iron Dome materials to help protect the Jewish State, and to assist in rescuing hostages.
