Man who murdered 18 elderly women killed in Texas prison by cellmate

Billy Chermirmir was found in his cell Tuesday in the same condition he put 18 elderly women: dead. Chermirmir, 50, was convicted in 2022 in the slayings and now he got what the penal system could not provide, karma.

A prison official said that he was killed by his cellmate [possibly for cracking his knuckles or lighting his flatulence, but we'll never know].

Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Hannah Haney said that Chemirmir's cellmate, who is serving a sentence for murder, was identified as the killer, but she said she couldn't release his identity or how Chermirmir was given a one-way ticket to hell.

The first capital murder trial of Chemirmir for the slaying of Lu Thi Harris, 81, ended in mistrial in Dallas County. He was later convicted in a second trial for Harris’ death and convicted of a second killing in the death of Mary Brooks, 87.

It looks like Chermirmir wasn't a tough guy with men, but he was with elderly women.

Authorities said the POS preyed on elderly women, killing them and stealing their valuables. Chemirmir, who maintained his innocence, was serving two sentences of life without the possibility of parole.

Chermirmir was caught after a 91-year-old woman survived an attack in 2018 and told police that he had forced his way into her apartment at an independent living community for seniors, tried to smother her with a pillow and took her jewelry.

Well, he got a break--he won't have to serve a life sentence anymore.

Haney said that the Office of Inspector General is investigating his death.
