NY City robbery suspect squished by subway train as he ran from cops

Manhattan -- A New York City subway train robber was killed when he fled police on the Number 2 train near 174th Street on Monday.

The NYPD said the suspect was fleeing police who were chasing him after he robbed a 46-year-old person at violent gunpoint shortly after 6 a.m.

The young man was one of four suspects who robbed the passenger, After the robbery the four got onto the number 5 train but a 911 call from a subway passenger alerted police and they waited for the suspects at the 180th Street Station.

Police said that all of the suspects were between the ages of 16 and 18 years of age, and I suspect the suspects had no fathers in the home.

Once the train came to a halt, one of the suspects tried to flee the cops by jumping onto another moving train on an adjacent platform, but alas, he did not quite make it and fell in-between two train cars, under the train and was killed instantly.

One of the suspects needed to be tasered before bringing him into custody.
