French journalist has police protection after documentary on radical Islam

A French journalist, Ophélie Meunier, 34, is under police protection from the religion of peace when she did a documentary of radical Islam in a French town.

The restaurants in town have separate cubicles for women to eat, lest the men see them chewing and go into a sex frenzy and viciously attack them. The local toyshop sells dolls with no faces because it might make those same men go into a sex frenzy and viciously attack the dolls and then the store owner for selling sex toys.

A Muslim who spoke out about the town was threatened with a good old fashion beheading.

Meunier's powerful documentary series Zone Interdite explores the impact of strict Islam and its influence in France. For her honesty about the poor northern town of Roubaix, she has received credible death threats.

The program highlighted a restaurant with cubicles for women to eat in, without being seen by men, and the aforementioned toy shop, which sold faceless dolls for Muslims who follow the sharia dictate which forbids the depiction of facial features of any kind.

French officials shut down the featured restaurant, Le Familial, after the program aired, citing it on 'health and safety grounds' without mentioning their own fear of personal loss of their craniums.

Locals of Roubaix argued that the cubicles were not just available to Muslim women, but to everyone, especially to people with social anxiety or uncontrollable flatulence.

The program also shined a light on a local council payout of €64,640 ($72,138), handed out to an 'association' to help teach poorer pupils in Roubaix. Prosecutors later pointed out that the money was being used for Islamic education instead of its intended use, to nobody's surprise.

Meanwhile Ms. Meunier's documentary comes in the midst of the French presidential election campaign in which the majority of voters are concerned about immigration issues, particularly influxes from former Muslim areas.

An additional documentary team member, Mr. Amine Elbahi, 26, is also placed under police protection after receiving death threats from mostly peaceful Muslims. He is a lawyer and has appeared in several episodes because Geraldo Rivera didn't get the part.

"I am threatened with beheading, slitting, attacking me because I held a speech of truth with my face uncovered, and in particular on the inaction of the mayor of my commune," Elbahi said.

"What I said upset people. Given the threats I am receiving my aim must have been right."
