Energy Sec'y Granholm knows less about energy than otters know about calculus

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm is without a doubt not qualified to be an energy secretary. She was stumped by a simple question asked by a reporter about the number of barrels of oil that are consumed in the U.S. on a daily average.

“I don’t have that number in front of me,” Energy Secretary Granholm told the liberal reporter during a White House press briefing on Tuesday.

The question was asked in response to alleged President Biden decided along with Granholm to tap into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to try bringing the price of sky high gas prices down to earth. So you would think Granholm would have clear knowledge of how much petroleum is consumed on a daily basis. She was as clueless as a time traveler from the Ottoman Empire.

As it turns out, the amount of oil the administration decided to release is 50 million barrels. That should cover about two and a half days of U.S. supply and that's it, as The Federalist highlighted:

“File this one under ‘not qualified to be Energy Secretary,'” Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) said about the clip of her speaking with the press.

This is the same incompetent Energy Secretary who, when asked in an interview by Bloomberg News “In Sturgis, Michigan, (gas) is $2.89 a gallon. I guess that’s better than in California. What is the Granholm plan to increase oil production in America?” laughed uncontrollably and quite patronizingly.

“Would that I had the magic wand on this. As you know, of course, oil is a global market. It is controlled by a cartel. That cartel is called OPEC. And they made a decision yesterday that they were not going to increase beyond what they were already planning.”

Rather than restarting oil production in the country, Biden's [alleged] decision to tap oil reserves, the supply normally used for emergencies such as hurricanes, shows the administration's desperation to lower the seven-year high current gas prices.

The enormous rise in fuel prices is due to the White House's war on fossil fuels which is compounded by inflation that is also engineered by this administration.

Biden's well-deserved approval rating is lower than whale droppings. While he goes to his Thanksgiving dinner at a friend's  $31 million mansion, and idiot media leftists tell us to forgo the turkey this year, Americans are concerned about being able to afford the big dinner.

Meanwhile, Crenshaw called Granholm “a joke” and “a liar” in response to her statements and lack of knowledge regarding energy. You know, her job.

Crenshaw tweeted, “Our US Energy Secretary is a joke. And a liar. … No, prices are not controlled by OPEC. They have influence, but then again SO DO WE. Our vast increase in production over the past decade drove prices down. All we have to do is get the government boot off the neck of US producers, and let them do their job.”

He added, “But instead, this incompetent administration has done the opposite. They’re (sic) cancelled land leases and cancelled pipelines. They’re threatening the energy sector with more regs and taxes, and you wonder why no one wants to invest in more production?”

Seriously, if the Republicans don't take back the House and Senate, they have only themselves to blame.
