This is one of those incidents a conservative hates writing about because it goes against our values and even how we see our law enforcement. But it's important to remember that incidents like this are the huge exception and not the rule; so let us begin with the incident.
Louisiana State Police troopers were involved in an incident where they engaged in beating a Black man after a high-speed chase last year. The troopers, apparently not very smart, joked with each other about the beating they gave 29-year-old Antonio Harris. The court papers said the texts stated that the "whoopin" would give the [Black] man "nightmares for a long time."
“He gonna be sore tomorrow for sure,” Trooper Jacob Brown texted to three of his colleagues. He was charged in the case and resigned on Wednesday. His text went on: “Warms my heart knowing we could educate that young man.”

Mr. Harris was arrested in May of last year. Authorities say he was beaten by the troopers even after he “immediately surrendered,” and they say this case bears a strong resemblance to the State Police pursuit in 2019 that ended in the still-unexplained death of another Black motorist, Ronald Greene.
Greene’s death was captured on body-worn camera footage the agency refuses to release and remains the subject of a federal civil rights investigation.
Trooper Brown, 30, also faces charges in two other excessive-force cases. This makes one wonder why he was allowed to continue with the same law enforcement responsibilities and not given a desk job until things got sorted out, if ever.
Brown pulled Harris over for a minor traffic violation on Interstate 20 in Richland Parish when Harris reentered his vehicle and fled, State Police said.
The chase spanned 29 miles, reached speeds of 150 mph and ended only after deputy sheriffs deployed a “tire deflation device” that caused Harris to drive into a ditch, according to the court records.
An internal investigation found the responding troopers attacked Harris even though he had surrendered and “laid face down (prone) on the ground and extended his arms away from his body and his legs spread apart.”
The first arriving trooper, Dakota DeMoss, 28, “delivered a knee strike” to Harris and slapped him in the face with an open palm before powering off his body-worn camera, the court records show. DeMoss also initiated Greene’s arrest in May 2019, though State Police have not provided any details about his involvement.
Another trooper, George Harper, 26, punched Harris in the head several times with a fist “reinforced” by a flashlight and threatened to “punish” Harris, while Brown pulled the man’s hair.
“At no time did Harris resist arrest,” the State Police internal investigation concluded.

The troopers produced “wholly untrue” [aka bull crap] reports saying Harris was resisting and continuing to flee, the filings say. They also attempted to conceal from investigators the existence of body-cam video.
To seal the deal of what might be interpreted as racism, [although minds cannot be read] the troopers exchanged 14 text messages peppered with “lol” and “haha” responses in which they boasted about the beating and mocked Harris.
“BET he wont run from a full grown bear again,” Brown wrote.
“Bet he don’t even cross into LA anymore,” DeMoss replied, who earlier jeered that Harris was “still digesting that ass whoopin.”
“He gonna spread the word that’s for damn sure,” Harper texted back.
DeMoss and Harper also are charged in Harris’ arrest and were placed on administrative leave after the internal investigation.

The story goes on, but suffice it to say, the left would have a field day over this kind of story because they would make it seem as if all conservatives think like these cops, and are aligned with their behavior.
We cannot with absolute certainty call Brown's actions and texts racist, but they look as if they were. The legacy media will definitely say or imply that Brown is a racist and I would not dispute that other than to say that the media butters its bread from racism stories which then end up giving BLM and Antifa excuses for destroying businesses and lives in the pretense that they care about Black people.
Tell that to David Dorn's wife. Dorn was a Black retired police captain killed by a rioter while defending his friend's pawn shop in St. Louis as BLM and Antifa rioted in the streets.
And now Derek Chauvin is on trial for 2rd degree murder in Minneapolis of George Floyd. If BLM and Antifa don't get their way, and Chauvin is found guilty of a lesser charge, there will be fire, windows smashed, looting, burnings, and blood spilled on the streets.
But it is not because they cared about Floyd [who likely died of drug toxicity] but care to be anarchists and looters.
What Trooper Brown allegedly did should and will be punished, if found guilty. That's what conservatives and libertarians really want.
P.S. Troopers DeMoss and Harper received counseling for their part. Yeah, that's the ticket.
