LA County health inspector celebrates after telling brewery to close down

Some people are nice and some people suck. Some people suck more than others and in LA County, there is a health inspector who, if launched into the cosmos would suck enough to give black holes competition in their suck-worthiness.

A brewery owner told the outlet on Monday that his video camera caught a health inspector breaking out into a dance right after telling a worker that the brewery had to close--hours before the Super Bowl.

Fox News reported:

Bart Avery, one of the owners of Bravery Brewery in Lancaster, Calif., said the inspector visited the brewery at about 11 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday. She told one of his employees that the brewery was in violation of county guidelines because there was no food truck, and it had to close, he said.

Like many small businesses, Avery said his brewery has been "decimated financially and emotionally."

It turns out the inspector, a woman whose dancing talent is reminiscent of Elaine from Seinfeld, was wrong. The brewery had every right to open because they were only pouring draft beer to go. Her claim that they needed a food truck to operate was bogus and she later admitted that there was a misunderstanding and business could resume. One of the inspector's bosses also called to apologize for the confusion the next day, the owner said.

Fox News tried to get in touch with the health department but they may have been too busy break dancing at other targeted establishments to respond.

We cannot be certain why the inspector danced after delivering the news to the brewery owner, but, as Avery said, "the perception really sucks."

She had minutes before informed the worker that he could be out of a job, Avery said, adding that considering the pain created by the lockdowns on small business owners, the dance was jarring.
