Due to the fact that the party wasn't an official Black Lives Matter protest, or an Antifa riot, Republicans broke the state's impotent COVID-19 rules, just like Democratic political leaders have been doing with impunity. Don't kid yourself, if the party was for a socialist cause, or a fake anti-racist cause [the left is the party that sees everything in terms of identity] Murphy would have applauded Gaetz.
Instead, the failed New Jersey governor used a Yiddish slur against Gaetz, calling him "Matt Putz." It literally is used to denote a penis and can also be used to describe a stupid person. Coming from a failure like Murphy, it might actually be considered a compliment.
"That guy in the middle, the tall, handsome fella in the gray suit, that is Representative Matt Putz - oh sorry, Matt Gaetz, and based upon his past performances, it is obvious being a knucklehead is not beyond the pale for him," Murphy said during a Friday news conference, reported by NBC News 4. "He was actually Sarah Palin's backup act for this event."
"I hope you're watching Matt -- you are not welcome in New Jersey, and frankly I don't ever want you back in this state," the impotent governor added.

He then reiterated his criticisms in a tweet and said, “Last night, the [New York City Young Republicans] allegedly snuck into Jersey City to hold a “gala fundraiser” – ignoring our social distancing and mask rules” [that only apply to Republicans].
“It is beyond the pale that anyone would willingly endanger people in another state,” he added. “Jersey City law enforcement is investigating this matter.”
“It is also beyond the pale that Rep Matt Putz – I mean [Rep. Matt Gaetz] – would participate in this. What a fool,” Murphy, ironically said.
“Matt – You are not welcome in New Jersey, and frankly I don’t ever want you back in this state," he said, although he doesn't have standing to prevent anyone from traveling in any US state they desire based on their political views. That's dictatorial garbage, much like Murphy's policies on handling the pandemic. In fact, Gaetz's state of Florida, under Gov. Ron De Santis (R), is doing a much better job with the pandemic by treating the people of the state as responsible adults.
Murphy's New Jersey regulations have limited religious ceremonies, weddings and, according to the COVID website, indoor political gatherings to not exceed 150 people or 25 percent capacity, whichever is less. This is based on the same science that says there are 87 genders, a man can become a woman by saying he is, vice-versa with women, and babies only become human once they pass through the birth canal.
And they call conservatives "science deniers."
Whether or not the gathering constitutes a political event, or whether it violated the capacity limits remains unclear, but Murphy said the event is being investigated by state officials, unlike the protests for defunding the police.
“In Jersey City we take Covid enforcement very seriously, [in spite of the state leading the nation with over 356,000 cases and more than 17,250 deaths] and this event appears to be an egregious violation of the governor’s executive orders, including capacity limitations and mandatory mask wearing," Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop said in a statement to NBC News 4.
It's amazing how the left thinks they have the right to lecture us on how best to deal with the virus.
New Jersey’s chief prosecutor joined the social media jabbing, and reminded the Republicans, that it's not only New York City that has coronavirus restrictions [which have not prevented over 609,000 cases of covid and more than 34, 400 deaths].
“Pssst...you are in [Jersey City] - not New York,” Prosecutor Jake Hudnut said.
“Gov. Cuomo may not be able to ‘come and get’ you,” he added. “But I can.” he threatened.

Gaetz responded to the New Jersey governor on Twitter, saying he “would regret” his tweet.
"You’re gonna regret this tweet when you move to Florida like the rest of New Jersey," Gaetz tweeted in response to Murphy and then thanked him for calling him “handsome.”

The hypocrisy on the left is palpable. Democrat governors, mayors and other politicians are constantly getting caught dining out in large groups, traveling to foreign countries after forbidding the peons to do so, and getting haircuts and going to gyms, but restricting others from going.
