Senator Biden and KKK's Robert Byrd supported keeping the 'Boat People' out of U.S.

Biden speaks about all the books he hasn't read

Back in the days of yore, in 1975 specifically, a young, Democratic freshman senator named Joseph Robinette Biden joined with a former Exalted Cyclops of the Ku Klux Klan named Robert Byrd (D-W.VA) in opposition to the 130,000 Vietnam War refugees who sought asylum in the United States. Thousands of children were among that throng of refugees.

Byrd recruited 150 of his associates and friends to create a KKK chapter in Sophia, West Virginia, and his family roots ran deep into this racist organization, so it's no wonder when those brown-skinned Vietnamese wanted to come to America to avoid being slaughtered by the North Vietnamese, Byrd couldn't allow that to happen.

And Joe Biden agreed. It wasn't as if Byrd's association with the Klan was unknown to Biden and the Democrats. In December 1944, Byrd wrote to segregationist Mississippi Senator Theodore G. Bilbo:
I shall never fight in the armed forces with a negro by my side ... Rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds.
— Robert C. Byrd, in a letter to Sen. Theodore Bilbo (D-MS), 1944
When President Gerald Ford (R) proposed a relief program for Vietnam and Cambodian refugees designed to settle thousands of families in the USA, the Democrats with a congressional majority, opposed it. Byrd cited fears of admitting "undesirables" such as "barmaids, prostitutes, and criminals" to the country, evidently unaware those people he feared were already in the majority in Congress.

Joe Biden also had a problem with the Republican President's proposal and during a Foreign Relations Committee hearing with Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, he voiced his concern with opening the door for the refugees. He charged that the Senate wasn't informed of the number of refugees being considered by the White House for safe harbor.

Biden's heart was far up into his nether regions.

Many of the refugees escaped communist rule and mass murder in Vietnam and Cambodia on leaky fishing boats. Thousands of these boat people, as they were called, died due to piracy, starvation, and drowning. Biden didn't care.
KKK Grand Cyclops: Robert Byrd

President Ford told reporters he was "damned mad" about the pushback from Joe Biden and other uncaring cretins on the left. "I am primarily very upset because the United States has had a long tradition of opening its doors to immigrants of all countries," he told reporters following the opposition.

Ford was upset with liberal colleagues who talk the talk but when it came down to commitment, decided to obstruct the legislation.  "It just burns me up, these great humanitarians," he said. "They just want to turn their backs."

"We're a country built by immigrants from all areas of the world, and we've always been a very humanitarian nation, and when I read or heard the comments made a few days ago I was disappointed and very upset," Ford added.

If this reminds you of the hypocrisy of how the left depends on using the race card to make all of their arguments, you're not asleep.

Biden is a meat puppet of the left. People who are turned off by President Trump's brash demeanor need to understand that we don't elect our presidents to be nice or role models for our kids. We elect our leaders to lead, to do their job and to be as transparent as possible.
