Israel makes 'significant breakthrough' on COVID-19 antidote

A "significant breakthrough" was reportedly made at Israel's main biological research laboratory in the battle against the Chinese Communist Wuhan Wet Market Coronavirus. Israeli scientists have isolated a key antibody that will be used potentially for treatment of the invisible enemy.

During a visit to the Israel Institute for Biological Research IIBR) labs he was shown an "antibody which attacks the virus in a monoclonal way and can neutralize it within the bodies of those ill," read a statement from his office.

“I am proud of the Biological Institute staff, who have made a major breakthrough,” Bennett said. “The Jewish creativity and ingenuity brought about this amazing achievement.”

The IIBR Director Shmuel Shapira reportedly discussed the plan to patent the antibody formula in order to get it out for mass production.

Reuters reported:
“Antibodies in such samples – immune-system proteins that are residues of successfully overcoming the coronavirus – are widely seen as a key to developing a possible cure. The antibody reported as having been isolated at the IIBR is monoclonal, meaning it was derived from a single recovered cell and is thus potentially of more potent value in yielding a treatment.”
If the antidote shows the efficacy Israel seems to believe it merits, that's going to change the global game significantly.
