Comedy News Network's Paul Begala on Tuesday while speaking with Jake Tapper, referred to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner as “cockroaches.” Both Ivanka and Jared are Jewish and nobody is calling Begala out on anti-Semitism, as the left would have shouted "Islamophobia" if anyone on the right referred to Ilhan Omar as a cockroach.
Tapper was forced to check CNN political analyst Begala during the discussion
regarding the new book, "Kushner, Inc.," Tapper's panel discussed whether or not President Trump would ever fire his daughter and son-in-law and questioned how the couple has kept their jobs while the White House faces frequent turnover.
“Of course they survived. I mean, cockroaches are going to survive a nuclear war,” Begala obnoxiously said.
The panel’s lone Trump supporter, Dave Urban, shook his head in disgust at the disgusting derogatory remark.
Tapper quickly asked, “You’re not calling Ivanka and Jared cockroaches?”
“No, no I’m talking about a separate class of species,” the worm responded trying to do a save.
CNN didn't respond when Fox News asked if Begala will be disciplined or apologize, but it's even possible he'll get a raise in pay because CNN, a former news organization, loves it when you hate Trump. And if Begala does apologize, will he be apologizing to every Jew in the world or just the two?
“OK,” Tapper responded. Begala continued slamming Kushner, calling the president a “criminal” in the process. The anti-Semitic bile came amid controversy regarding Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who has come under fire for her own anti-Semitic and anti-Zionist comments.
The “cockroaches” comment reminds critics of other hateful rhetoric used to target Jewish people and sounds like something right out of
“Considering the wide debate about anti-Semitism on the left and in America more broadly, Begala’s comments could be taken by some as anti-Semitic since Kushner is Jewish and Ivanka converted to Judaism,” Media Research Center contributor Ryan Foley wrote. “Begala’s comparison of the Jewish Kushners to insects closely mirrors the rhetoric of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, who denied that he was anti-Semitic; instead arguing that he was ‘anti-termite.’”
It also isn't a big stretch to consider Begala's rhetoric on par with the brutal anti-Semitic rhetoric of Der Stürmer dehumanizing Jews and depicting them as subhuman.
CNN pundits recently expressed self-righteous indignation when President Trump referred to MS-13 gang members as “animals,” but the “cockroaches” comment about members of the president’s family has received little attention from the network’s media watchdogs. Gee, I wonder why.
I hope you'll follow Brain Flushings and have a few laughs while you get a conservative viewpoint. Politics is the new NFL without the mindless kneeling and this blog will both inform you and hopefully entertain you bigly.
