"Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy. Its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery" Sir Winston ChurchillMerry Old England -- Students in Woodchurch High School in Birkenhead, [Goooo Weasels!] located in northwestern England, are no longer allowed to wear "expensive" coats to keep warm for the winter.
The socialist/communist headteacher of the school, Rebekah Phillips, sent a letter to parents in early November warning them that "expensive" coats would no longer be allowed in order to take away incentives for poor students to excel in their studies and secure lucrative jobs as adults. The ban would take effect after Christmas and the headteacher is "mindful that some young people put pressure on their parents to purchase expensive items of clothing."
So the school is acting as a go-between for the parents and their kids while taking the pressure off poorer parents along with their decision-making responsibilities as parents.
The coats being banned are from Canada Goose and Moncler, brands that can cost well over $1,000.
"These coats cause a lot of inequality between our pupils," Phillips told the Comedy News Network [CNN]. "They stigmatize students and parents who are less well-off and struggle financially."
Stigmatize: verb describe or regard as worthy of disgrace or great disapproval.
That's an awfully powerful claim.
Headteacher Phillips claimed students have told her the cost of such coats is the same as their parents' monthly rent. [And apparently, they don't want to end up like Michael Avenatti's law offices that have been ordered to be vacated.]
"There has been feedback from children, who say 'Gosh, that is our rent for the month," Phillips claimed.
Do you really think kids use the word 'gosh'?
The socialist/communist goody-goody said she plans to "poverty-proof" the school by making everyone appear poverty stricken.
Parent Andy Treanor, told CNN the ban "did not matter" to him because he wasn't going to spend that much on a coat, but if he did, Phillips could go . . ."
The school provides free sanitary products to female students.
"At Woodchurch High, we teach and strive for equal outcome over equal opportunity because we don't think these kids can handle the latter," Miss Tidbits, a dance studies teacher said proudly as she snatched a free sanitary product and slipped it into her purse.
