Bette Midler blames low minimum wage for Black Friday violence

Most people don't know this about Bette Midler, but she has a MS in economics and a PhD in psychology.

Just kidding.

According to her Wikipedia page, she attended Radford High School in Honolulu and voted the "Most Talkative" in the 1961 school Hoss Election and "Most Dramatic" as a senior in 1963. It isn't clear if she ever read about or taken classes in human behavior or psychology, nor if she actually knows much about economics, but she has a lot to say on the subject and we should listen because she is Bette Midler and we are not.

Midler went on Twitter again to talk about politics. She blamed a low minimum wage for the shopper scuffles that occurred on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving with a racist name, according to PC magazine.

Midler and a team of her researchers questioned the scufflers involved in the confrontations. Each one of the single parents involved in the kerfuffles admitted that if they made a fifteen dollar minimum wage they wouldn't have to fight over a smart TV or video games for their seven kids.

Her findings indicated that dangerous shopping conditions should not be blamed on the people involved who actually cause the danger, but on the low salaries they make as unskilled, uneducated, low-incentive individuals. The fight for the low cost items more out of necessity than as a benefit.

The millionaire Midler tweeted:
"And how was YOUR Black Friday? No injuries, I hope! It's incredible that we have to fight over STUFF. It there were a DECENT minimum wage, of if workers were treated fairly, and got a tiny portion of the kinds of salaries and bonuses CEOS pay themselves, we wouldn't."
People were split over the high school grad's words. Some felt she has no idea what she's talking about, others called her a hypocrite. And still others just see her as a low-information rich lady who has basically become irrelevant and is doing all she can to flip that around.

In early October she had to apologize for called women "the n-word of the world."

Then in November, the economics maven caught hell for alleging that President Trump's words caused the dip in the stock market and also posted a photo of Melania Trump with an inappropriate caption.

Over time, the 72-year-old Midler's feed has become a garbage-load of anti-Trump thoughts and articles.

And despite the fact that her words have gotten her into some hot water in the past, she is too invested in trying to regain the way she was, to quit the nonsense she spouts.
