Khashoggi's fiancee under police protection

The fiancée of Jamal Khashoggi, the Washington Post journalist who was killed by the Saudis, has been given police protection in Turkey, according to Turkish media, as his death is under investigation. The governor of the city approved the protection Sunday the protection, the state-run media agency Anadolu reported.

Hatice Cengiz, a doctoral student in Istanbul [formerly Constantinople] was waiting outside the Saudi consulate while Khashoggi went inside and met his fate at the hands of 15 Saudi nationals.

The reason for the protection was not elaborated on, but if they killed him, they might want to do the same to her.

Khashoggi went into the consulate on October 2nd, and like the Roach Motel, he never checked out. The purpose of his visit to the consulate was to acquire paperwork for his planned marriage to Cengiz and her enormous head. It was she who alerted authorities after waiting for the Washington Post columnist to emerge from the building.

The Saudis denied having knowledge of Khashoggi's disappearance or what might have happened to him. But on Friday, Saudi state media said that he was indeed dead, and that he was accidentally killed in a fistfight.

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir told Fox News' Bret Baier Sunday that his death was part of a "rogue operation" and 18 people that are implicated in his murder would be punished.

No soup for them!

"This was an operation where individuals ended up exceeding the authorities and responsibilities they had," Al-Jubeir said. "They made the mistake when they killed Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate and they tried to cover up for it."

I cannot imagine even Muhammed Ali getting into a fistfight with 15 guys. It's incredible that Khashoggi did.
