Berkeley cops said that 20 [Antifa] scumwafers were arrested as they demonstrated against so-called "alt-right" groups. The cops released mugshots along with their names and why they were arrested was posted on the Berkeley Police Department's Twitter account--a normal practice by the department.

Veena Dubal, a so-called law professor at the University of California, found it "disturbing" that the police department would post the mugshots and risk the possibility of putting the demonstrators in danger.

Actually, it might be the other way around--if the public gets to see what these weaponized miscreants look like, they may be able to avoid them.
Berkeley Mayor Jesse ArreguĂn said the cops "did a very good job" in the way they handled the rally, but added that he spoke with the police about the posting of mugshots on social media.

Well duh! They're the ones who usually start trouble.
Berkeley Police Department spokesman Byron White defended the mugshot posting. "People are coming from out of town and bringing weapons and are committed to violence... We don't want people to do that with anonymity," he said.
