Elizabeth Warren screwing over the 'pale face'

Brockton, Mass. -- Democratic Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, whose Native American name is "Counting Votes," is pushing for a $1 billion luxury casino to honor her tribe in East Taunten, Mass., less than 20 miles from the struggling town of Brockton.

The struggling Brockton is a blue-collar town with its own casino, but with a new one in such close proximity, it will be virtually impossible for it to compete.

Brockton Mayor Bill Carpenter slammed Warren's bill on behalf of the Masphee Wampanoag tribe. The bill would override a federal judge's decision last year to block the tribe's plan for the casino.

Carpenter believes [correctly] that Warren is acting on behalf of special interests rather than on the needs of the struggling town of Brockton and its residents.

Carpenter spoke with the Washington Times: "Year after year we're running multimillion-dollar deficits in our budget. We've laid off schoolteachers for three years in a row. We desperately need the revenue."

A typical liberal solution to the problem would be to just hike taxes on the residents, but you can't get blood from a stone or another dollar from a Brockton resident.

"Counting Votes'" bill is being lobbied by the Genting Group, which has to date poured $400 million into the tribe's First Light Resort and Casino project. However, all of the financing could be lost if the federal government fails to grant the land to the tribe, according to the Washington Times.

Brockton bid for a casino two years ago but it was rejected by the Massachusetts state gaming commission over fears the market would become oversaturated if the Native American tribe wins federal approval. Brockton has since made the bid again.

Perhaps out of guilt over Wounded Knee or the Trail of Tears, the Interior Department could block Brockton's bid as it has begun looking into additional legal avenues the land could be taken in trust on behalf of the tribe, rather than the pale faces of Brockton.

Some East Taunton residents say they don't even want the luxury casino built in their town.

Michelle Littlefield, of East Taunton, along with 25 other town residents, is waging a legal battle to block the casino project. They claim the Interior Department's actions are "designed to give a special-interest group special preference."

Mayor Carpenter welcomes the project for his town. "It's a blue-collar immigrant city where two years ago, 80 percent of the students in our school system qualified for free or reduced lunch," he said. "Our unemployment rate runs about 50 percent about the statewide average historically, and we're a majority-minority city."

The irony here is that it's highly likely the voters in Brockton voted for "Counting Votes." Perhaps getting screwed over by her will change some minds.

Warren previously opposed legalized gambling in her state. But ever since she earned the name "Fauxcahontas" by Trump and his supporters, she's had a hypocritical change of heart.

"Bring on those degenerate gamblers," she cried. "We'll not only take them to the cleaners, we'll scalp them in the process."

Whatever that means.
