A religious Muslim professor at the University of Connecticut required students to praise Allah with an Arabic phrase and remove their shoes before being permitted entry into the office assigned to him by the public university.
Retired biology professor, Felix Coe, placed 2 signs outside his office demanding students say the word "Bismallah," which means in Arabic "in the name of Allah" before entering the office, and they must also remove their shoes because Coe is bat-crap crazy. An article in Campus Reform spells it out in greater detail.
"I am a Muslim; you don't come in my office with dirty shoes. That's a curse," the lunatic told a student after he told her to "get the hell out" and "I don't want to see you," because she wore shoes in his office. The video clip showing just how this all went down can be found on Jihad Watch, a website that I highly recommend, if you're not aware of it.
When asked by 2 people why he required them to say "Bismallah" and remove their shoes at a public university, his arrogant answer was, "Because I'm a Muslim."
Christian students, particularly Catholics, should have made Coe cross himself after they entered the room, because they are Christian!
Since the video was taken, Coe has retired and the signs demanding non-Muslims pay homage to Islam were also removed from the satellite campus in Hartford, CT., according to UConn spokesperson Stephanie Reitz.
"Regarding this instance, the sign that had directed guests to precede their conversations with a specific Arabic phrase [she didn't want to say what it was, but we know] was immediately removed at the university's direction," Reitz said in a statement. "UConn promptly resolved the issue in a manner that respects the rights of all involved, and affirms the university's values of civility and inclusivity."
Yeah, tell that to Coe. It was only him who violated the rights of non-Muslims and anyone who didn't want to praise his god. He was the person who lacked respect, not the people who came to his door.
He should have been disciplined.
To add even more cover for the anal sphincter, Reitz explained that other rooms are provided, aside from his office space [which belong to the university, not him] at all locations for faculty to meet with students and others.
This is the often the way Islamic extremists think and behave, as if their religion trumps your beliefs about religion.
