Flint, MI (Land o' Moore) -- A police officer was stabbed in the neck by a guy yelling "Allahu Akbar" at the Bishop International Airport. CNN originally reported the incident too, but only said the Muslim jihadi was yelling something in Arabic. It was only around 9 p.m. Wednesday that they admitted what he yelled.
For those of you born yesterday, "Allahu Akbar" means 'Allah is greater.' Specifically, Allah is greater than your god, as they don't tell you in the media.
A witness told MLive that he saw a man being detained by police and another officer on his knees, bleeding from the neck.
Originally, Bishop International Airport posted on Facebook that the cop was hurt but offered no details about the attack except to say that all passengers were safe and were being told to check for flight delays or cancellations.
The Muslim man, Amor Ftouhi, 50, was taken into custody, according to local media. He is a Canadian resident and lived in Montreal, but has traveled between New York and Canada quite often.
He has been charged with violence at an international airport, according to FBI Special Agent David Gelios. Ftouhi is accused of stabbing Lt. Jeff Neville.
A little background: the jihadi in question entered the U.S. legally through Lake Champlain, New York on June 16, then made his way to Flint's Bishop International Airport, arriving on Wednesday.
"He spent a little time in the restroom, dropped both bags and came out, pulled out a knife, yelled 'Allahu Akbar' and stabbed Lt. Neville in the neck," Gelios said.
Just another typical day of Ramadan.
To continue showing his love for Allah, Ftouhi kept yelling "Allah" several times, according to the criminal complaint.
Then he said something to the effect: "you have killed people in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and we are all going to die."
Yes--everyone, one day, is going to die--get over it.
When Ftouhi was apprehended, the jihadi asked the cop why he didn't kill him, the complaint said.
Thankfully, Neville is in satisfactory condition. Fortunately, the jihadi never did well in biology and wasn't aware of the location of the carotid artery.
More charges may be added to the current ones.
Authorities believe that this was merely a lone moron incident.
