A Catholic priest, 49 year old Father Francois Murad, along with two other men, were beheaded on June 23rd by Syrian Jihadists as adults and children looked on shouting "Allahu Akbar" or Allah is good. They took photos and shot videos on their smart phones, possibly to show them to friends and family or share at office picnics. The Syrian group, Jabhat al-Nusra alleged that Murad collaborated with the Sryian President, Assad (pronounce "Ass haaht"). To read the whole story, go here .
We shouldn't be surprised that Fr. Murad was killed, after all, the Islamic scriptures refer to Christians and Jews as pigs and apes respectively. In fact, beheading is the preferred method of killing infidels but the book goes into detail with other ways of doing the deed. Please, if you don't believe me, read the koran, particularly the Saudi Arabian English translation.
But the fact that a priest was killed is nothing new to Islam. Since Islam was brought to the desert by Muhammad, a guy who himself supervised the beheading of 600 to 900 Jews of the Quraysh tribe, Islam has always been at war. The goal of this so-called religion of peace is to make the world a caliphate, totally controlled by Islam, and those of us who refuse to convert or pay the jizyah, a tax of non-Muslims, are to be killed.
And still the left refuses to talk about the real problem with terrorism. They refuse to deal with the problem that Islam imposes on the West. They would like Benghazi to go away and pretend the problem with Islam is over there--not here.
Obama said, in South Africa, that Islam is a great religion. He looks forward to a time when Muslims and Christians can be at peace. Interestingly, he never mentioned the Jews. The reason to me is obvious and that's because Muslims want to totally obliterate the Jews and many feel that Hitler didn't do enough. Maybe Obama had a reason not to include Jews in that statement.
The left is also too frightened to challenge the way Islam deals with gays. They kill them--go to Iran where Ahmadenjad said there are no gays in Iran. He meant that there were no living gays in Iran because the gays were hanged in public. Leftists don't talk about that, but they sure as hell make an issue about crosses in public places. They are quick to attack the Christian right, but don't have the balls to attack our real attackers.
The left has ignored the way women are treated by Islam. In Saudi Arabia, (you remember, that country where Obama bowed down deeply to their king, Abdullah) women are not allowed to leave their home without a male family member as chaperone. When they go out, they must wear a burqa, a cotton shroud, like a cloth coffin. Their vote is half the value as a man, and if they get raped, they need six male witnesses to prove their cause lest they be charged with prostitution and thus be put in a hole up to their shoulders and stoned to death. I forgot whether NOW has gotten involved; can you enlighten me?
