If Liberals Had Their Way

Imagine the future where liberals totally get their way. All the laws Obama is calling for, all the changes in the way we live, imagine he gets them, carte blanche.

Picture the FBI chasing a suspect--a car chase, just like in the movies--except the FBI is equipped with environmentally friendly, green cars, Chevy Volts. These hybrid-electric cars were touted by our president as the wave of the future. Obama even had GM, the company that builds the Volt, bailed out, bought and paid for by the federal government. They now own the company.

"Can you still see 'em back there?"

Now imagine that the car chase along an interstate highway that stretches for miles.The Feds are trying desperately to chase down a gas-driven car; a muscle car like a Mustang, and the Mustang is outrunning the FBI to the point that the feds look like they're standing still. This is because the Volt, a car costing about $40,000, can do about 100 mph downhill while the Mustang GT 5.0 liter V8 with dual overhead cam with its 412 horses under the hood, can still get a speeding ticket for every mph they can do above 100.Got the picture? Are you laughing yet?


But the FBI agents and the President of the United States of America, can laugh at the thugs in the Mustang, because while the Mustang GT can get 26 miles per gallon on the highway, the Volt can get a staggering 93 miles per gallon under optimal conditions. If the Mustang crew stays on the highway until they run out of gas (assuming they don't stop for a fill-up), the FBI will catch them, if these thugs will be patient enough to wait the several hours it will take to be overtaken.
