Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was in intensive care unit for days and rumor has it he has been recovering from transition surgery or maybe not. He has finally resumed what he believes are his duties.
Everything was kept hush-hush from the press for days in order to keep the country in the dark and for medical and personal privacy issues, according to someone who is familiar with Austin's personal proclivities. This comes at a tense period after tensions grew in the Middle East when a U.S. strike neutralized four members of an Iran-backed Iraqi terrorist group in Baghdad and a pair of suicide bombers in Iran killed at about 103 people.
"I don’t have any updates to provide at this time in terms of when he’ll be discharged, but we will be sure to keep you and others updated," Seligman wrote on X.
A Politico Pentagon "reporter" Lara Seligman said the Austin resumed full duties last night.
"I don’t have any updates to provide at this time in terms of when he’ll be discharged, but we will be sure to keep you and others updated," Seligman wrote on X.
But Austin looks marvelous and it isn't known whether he or she will be taking part in any of the scheduled military base drag shows.
